Excessive humidity caused by insufficient ventilation can damage not only the structure of the building but also your health. Mechanical ventilation with heat recovery presents the optimal solution.

An energy recovery unit ensures efficient ventilation of your home because a new building cannot meet comfort and energy goals with natural ventilation alone. Mechanical ventilation with heat recovery means continuous replacement of stale interior air with fresh and filtered air from the outside. In the winter, the fresh supply air is warmed by the stale exhaust air as air streams pass through the Futura. As a result, the fresh air recovers both heat and humidity and has dust, pollen and allergens removed thanks to the high-grade filters.

The Jablotron Futura is a unique MVHR system: Fully demand controlled and equipped with integrated heating and cooling for passively designed homes. As a Passive House certified unit, it ensures high efficiencies. Futura is specifically designed and intended for passive-standard homes, which have perfectly insulated envelopes and have minimised solar gains.

Futura automatically adapts the ventilation level to meet the requirements for optimum indoor air quality based on information from the CO2 sensors. We use the analogy of ‘lungs’ as the unit represents the lungs of your home and it works in the same way — it ensures air exchange in a natural and automatic manner.

  • Generous standard equipment
    Included as standard with the Futura are an extended five-year guarantee, F7 pollen filter, a CO2 sensor in the wall-mounted control with temperature & humidity monitoring and complete management of the unit in the mobile app. The unit can be expanded with more functions – up to 8 wall-mounted controls and 8 CO2 sensors.
  • Heating
    Futura can deliver an amount of heating for passive designed houses up to 200 metres sq. This small amount of heat is delivered in the ventilation air. As part of the design of any passive home your architect will utilise the passive house planning package (PHPP). This software package will confirm the exact amount of heating requirement of your new home.
  • Cooling
    As with heating a small amount of cooling can be provided via the ventilation air. Futura is specifically designed and intended for passive-standard homes, which have perfectly insulated envelopes and have minimised solar gains.
  • Autonomous operation
    Futura is smart and will request maintenance or the replacement of clogged filters by itself.  A CO2 sensor is part of the standard equipment and continuously adapts the ventilation level to your desired indoor environment.
  • Mobile app control and monitoring
    It can be conveniently controlled from anywhere by using the MyJABLOTRON mobile app, which provides a range of information about the operation and performance of your Futura. Additional monitoring and control are available on other devices. Alternatively, Futura can be controlled via the wall-mounted Alfa panel(s), which contain the CO2 sensor, catering for on-demand climate control.
  • Unrivalled power consumption even in very cold weather
    Futura can be seen to perform at its best in winter, during the time when heat recovery is needed most. Thanks to its unique design, which perfectly utilizes the laws of physics, the unit works without the otherwise required preheating and always maintaining balanced operation of the fans, even during hard frosts.
  • Real indoor comfort on cold days without excessive drying
    Futura will automatically maintain the optimum humidity in your house by means of a controlled enthalpy exchanger. Optimum humidity is important mainly for your health, but it will also be appreciated by your wooden furniture, floors and plants.

  • We have HRV in our block-built house. Installed by Proair of Galway. Very professional and thorough job, highly recommended. Cost was c. 8k, but we have two units due to the size of the house. Been in constant operation since October, no issues so far. Complexity? Turn it on and leave it. When you have a shower/bath press boost. That’s it.

  • We also got ours from ProAir and are very happy with it. We were strapped for extra cash, but our geo-therm. guys recommended the MHRV as a way of making the whole system more efficient. No condensation is a great thing. Your house will be healthier overall.
