Maintaining your MVHR System

Your ProAir Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) system is a lifetime investment for your home. Designed to run continuously 24/7, the system will remove stale polluted air and introduce fresh, filtered air into your home, providing you with much improved indoor air quality and a healthier and more comfortable home.

Filters

The filters on a ProAir system are easy to access and should be checked every 6 months or and replaced at least annually. Filters ensure that the air entering your home is clean, removing pollen, dirt, dust etc.  Over time the filters will become dirty, the frequency of the change is dependent on usage and location. Keeping filters changed at least annually will ensure that the air moves as freely as possible and that there will be minimal pressure on the fans, leading to a longer lifespan of the system.

Changing the filters regularly will allow your system to operate at its optimum efficiency and guarantees the cleanest possible air is being supplied to your home.  If you do not change filters frequently enough it can make your system noisier as the system has to work harder to push air through dirty and blocked up filters.

Service

Routine servicing is important to help keep your MVHR system running efficiently and effectively. To ensure the longevity of your investment, a service should be scheduled every three years.  Servicing and maintenance will improve the effectiveness of the MVHR system and also help avoid more complex repair work.

Warranty

ProAir offers a standard 3-year warranty on all of our systems starting from the day of commissioning. It includes parts and labour for the first 2 years and the remaining year covers parts only.

The warranty is conditional on the system being maintained and serviced as outlined above.
