New Beginnings

As we approach the end of 2025, ProAir is preparing for an important new chapter.

After 30 years of exceptional service, David McHugh will be stepping down from his position as CEO. David’s hard work, dedication, and unwavering commitment to innovation have guided ProAir through years of change and challenge. We are pleased to share that David will continue to play a vital role in the organisation as Director of ProAir.

Stepping into the CEO role is someone well known to many of our suppliers, customers, and advocates. Twelve years ago, an eager and energetic Cork native joined the ProAir manufacturing floor, bringing ingenuity, determination, and the same innovative spirit that has shaped our company. Today, we are proud to announce Shane Dennehy as our new CEO.

Shane has worked closely with David over the years and has been instrumental in bringing many of our products from concept to completion—including the 7ooLI, our newest and most advanced model.

Shane has said:

“‘It has been a fantastic journey over the last 12 years, and for me, personally, my most recent project the PA700LI.  From a concept stage all the way to a market leading system has been a massive mile stone in my career, I look forward to getting stuck in to my new position as CEO and working with the great team we have in ProAir to stay as the market leader in MVHR”.

David added:

“Delighted to be able to present a younger generation with this opportunity. Shane has already proven himself as CTO over the past few years, and I believe he can take the company to a new level in the years to come. Yes, it is not just the team and the product he has in his favour, but this market is, I believe, set for enormous expansion”.

As a company, we extend our sincere gratitude to David for his outstanding leadership and contributions over the past 30 years. We are equally excited for the future under Shane’s guidance. His vision, experience, and customer-focused approach will undoubtedly lead ProAir into an exciting new era of innovation and growth.
